Description

A completely different description of the Legions flag is given Miles Byrne who was an insurgent in 1798 and an officer in the legion. He describes a green flag, one side of which had a gold harp and the inscription, L independance d Irlande  and on the reverse side the inscription Napoleon I empereur des Francais a la legion Irlandaise.
